India is called as “Bharat Mata” not “Bharat Pita” Is having a girl child curse?
I don’t think so. There are still many people who think that having a girl child is a curse. Aren’t girls more sweet, cute, beautiful, and polite than boys? Do not girls become successful? Is there any reason behind it? So why? Why girls can’t have respect? You love her as a mother, you love her as a wife, you love her as a sister; so why not as a daughter? You think that girls are made for kitchen, to do household work, to give birth to children. Till now, in many places of India girls are supposed to get married in their very early age to take responsibilities of her husband, his family and later her children. If you can educate a boy in any condition so why not a girl? Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao was a government scheme launched by PM Narendra Modi on 22nd of January 2015. This scheme has been introduced to improve the pathetic condition of girl child in Indian society. The purpose of launching the scheme was to make girls independent socially, financially and granting them their constitutional rights of freedom and education. If she is allowed to breathe, she continues to be discriminated and is not provided with proper health care, education and her basic rights as a human being. Empowering women brings overall progress, specially in families and societies. And at last , I hope that there will be a day, when no girl child will be uneducated, killed, raped, or sold because of socio economic reasons. As a citizen of this wonderful nation, let us work towards building up a strong and competitive female population.
